New trainees to benefit from full force of knowledge from leading industry experts while learning new skills and the latest technologies to create incredible travel experiences for customers

Inaugural graduates now working across Almosafer branches located in key cities across Saudi Arabia

Almosafer, the leading omni-channel travel brand in Saudi Arabia, has welcomed the second class of candidates to the Almosafer Academy, its specialized recruitment programme dedicated to shaping a new generation of consultants to curate incredible travel experiences. 

Launched in September 2019, the Almosafer Academy trains young Saudi Nationals with the skills and industry knowledge needed to succeed and grow as travel advisors within the company. As part of Almosafer’s commitment to expanding its retail footprint and revolutionizing the travel booking experience in the Kingdom, the Almosafer Academy adds a human touch to its seamless omni-channel approach through these high-performance graduates. It also supports both the country’s Saudization scheme and Vision 2030 to diversify the economy by creating an entirely new job profile outside the oil and gas sector and training candidates to fill these positions.

Its first class of recruits were honoured at an official commencement ceremony earlier this year in the presence of Ahmad bin Sulaiman Alrajhi, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Labour and Social Development, as well as senior Almosafer and Seera Group management. The celebration saw 44 graduates become professional travel consultants who have since gone on to work full-time across the brand’s network of branches in key cities around the Kingdom. Their training included mentorship and guidance, as well as sharing of best practice, from tourism boards including VisitBritain, Dubai Tourism, Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority as well as Experience Hub – the trade and promotion arm of Yas Island Abu Dhabi.

He continued: "The Almosafer Academy is designed to train Saudi’s youth on the most up-to-date travel information, insights and technology to add a human touch to our omni-channel user experience. The programme familiarizes them with evidence-based data and Almosafer’s diverse offerings so they can deliver on what’s important to our customers – creating journeys of joy for themselves, their families and others."

Each student graduating from Almosafer Academy will benefit from the full force of knowledge, insights and guidance from industry professionals provided to help them develop a deeper understanding of the consumer and travel industry. They will also learn a number of diverse new skills; ranging from sales and customer experience to operations and leadership. By the end of the programme, the young graduates will be armed with all the knowledge and skills needed to take travellers through the seamless omni-channel Almosafer experience. In a continuous effort to offer the highest level of customer service, Almosafer will continue to invest in training and developing travel advisors beyond graduation. As young professionals themselves, these graduates are the perfect advisors thanks to their tech-savvy communications skills and ability to inspire consumers to explore outside of the traditional travel experiences.
